A Rocha KNUST
A Rocha KNUST is the student chapter of A Rocha Ghana, a Christian environmental organization dedicated to caring for God’s creation. It originated as Eden Conservation in the 1990s and became part of the global A Rocha International family. Based in the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources at KNUST, the group empowers students to act for nature through education, advocacy, and hands-on conservation projects.
As a member, I took part in tree planting campaigns, campus sensitization programs, and biodiversity awareness activities. My involvement helped promote environmental responsibility among students and encouraged faith-based conservation values.
COEVACOP
The Community Evangelism Health and Conservation Program (COEVACOP) is an annual outreach organized by A Rocha KNUST. Launched in 2012, it combines evangelism, health screening, and conservation education in rural communities. The week-long program allows students to engage directly with local people and share practical knowledge about environmental care and community well-being.
As a volunteer, I supported environmental education sessions and community outreach efforts. I also helped organize activities that promoted sustainable living and environmental awareness in partnership with local residents.
